well its all bit mental at the moment, i havent had much time to post new work up what with dissertation draft deadlines, and moreover me being totally unorganized i think mabey we will all be feeling the pressure bear down on us pretty soon, if not already!. but amidst the chaos, i manged to knock out these skylark record sleeves today!!! riso'd onto a3 envelopes and cropped down to 12" also in other news i picked up this rad t-shirt from home made and bound, crafted by the dudes down at heuberger, really into these colour ways at the moment.. as you can quite clearly see!! more coming soon.

here are a few frames from the bigraphical animation how to make a fanny cradock, the ingredients of her life, these few frames are from the intro a work in progress.
in this sequence i hope to make fannny burst out of the steak but time will tell. this is kind of a transcription of the start of fannys kichen magic were she busts out of the tv to save the domestic day, and also would like to intergrate the piped type with the steak.

this is another experiment for the title sequence using fannys favorite culnary tecniech, the piping method.

at some point i will drop it all into quick time, super rad!

this is a book lee had in the studio that i did some drawings which will hopefully transcribe well into the bundy drawings, the book is about the spectical and inherent eroticism in wresling, full of photos of people in mid - grapple and sporting many different violent posses, really interesting to draw and is very much tunge and cheek.
However, its this "erotic violence" that was one of the main motives that drove bundy to commit these brutal acts of savagery.

this image made me laugh alot and has happend by coincedence, i do feel that it wasent completely nessesry to write bum fist above the image.

Hopefully these quick studies of the grappling hands will help me with the illustration of the Bundy murders.

For the final part of the chairs project i decided to focus in on the profile of notorious serial killer ted bundy, executed in the chair, the most prolific, macabre killer in american crime history. thse are just rough ideas of how it might look and are not yet in sequence.
For the the final images i will create a strip detailing the the Bundy murders.

Here are some videos that caught my attention over christmas, this is an extraodinary example of how two very similar ideas, the idea of artificial intelligence, can be taken in two completly different directions. both out comes are in essence they are one and the same and are both in a similar stage of prodution. but have taken on a completly different form, function and enviroment, the hyper realistc robot that is more akin to somting like blade runner or the animatrix, is still confined to his room, were as the kinetic sculpturs of theo jansen are free to walk the beaches but still need a small helping hand.

Blade Runner is a 1982 American science fiction film, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The screenplay, written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is loosely based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically manufactured beings called replicants – visually indistinguishable from adult humans – are used for dangerous and degrading work on Earth's "off-world colonies". Following a small replicant uprising, replicants become illegal on Earth and specialist police called "blade runners" are trained to hunt down and "retire" (kill) escaped replicants on Earth. The plot focuses on a brutal and cunning group of recently-escaped replicants hiding in Los Angeles and the semi-retired blade runner, Rick Deckard (Ford), who reluctantly agrees to take on one more assignment.

this could be a comical analogy of jansens sculptures but none the less still follows the same basic pyhisics of kinetic energy.

another installment of dystopian fantasy, but will it happen? who knows!

american serial killer, killed numerous young women across the united states between 1974 and 1978, he eventually confessed to 30 murders total victems unknown.
Bundy would bludgeon his victims, stangle and engage in rape and necrophillia.

Allen Lee Davis.
the most recent ececution to date davis was convicted of murdering nancy weiler and her unborn child of 3 months, she was beaten beyond recocnition, hit 25 times to the face and her head with the buck of a gun, davis also killed her two daughters, krister 9 shot twice in the face and kathrin 5 shot in the back wilst running away.

The idea of the electrc chair was first thought of by a man called Alfred P. Southwick as an alternative to hanging, he developed the idea of using electric current as a method of execution when he saw an entoxicated man die after touching an exposed terminal on a live generator.
since the first execution of william kemmler in august 1890 the electric chair has become an infamous symbol of the death penalty, it is reported that kemmlers blood vesseles ruptured under his skin and bled and his body caught on fire.

Thomas edison one of the people who helped southwick develop his idea further.

the electrocution of Leon Czolgosz for the assassination of president McKinley, october 29 1901.

First, the system should contain three (3) electrodes. The head should be fitted with a tightly fitting cap containing an electrode with a saline solution moistened sponge. It is through this electrode that the current is introduced. Second, each ankle should be tightly fitted with an electrode, causing the current to divide and guaranteeing passage through the complete trunk of the subjects body. Use of one (1) ankle electrode (instead of two [2]) will almost always ensure a longer and more difficult electrocution. These two (2) ankle electrodes are the return path of the current. Contact should be enhanced by using saline salve or a sponge moistened with a saline solution at each of the ankle connections. It is of the utmost importance that good circuit continuity, with a minimum amount of resistance, be maintained at the electrode contacts. Further, a minimum of 2000 volts ac must be maintained, after voltage drop, to guarantee permanent disruption of the functioning of the autonomic nervous system. Voltages lower than 2000 volts ac, at saturation, cannot guarantee heart death and are, thus, not adequate for electrocution, in that they may cause unnecessary trauma to the subject prior to death. Failure to adhere to these basic requirements could result in pain to the subject and failure to achieve heart death, leaving a brain dead subject in the chair.

The Electric Chair

The electric chair consists of an oaken chair with an adjustable backrest, inherent leg electrodes, a leather and sponge helmet with electrode, a drip pan, a plexiglass seat and a non-incremental restraint system. It is covered with a high gloss epoxy paint similar to that which is used in the space program. It is connected to the power supply via one military type connector. This chair was fabricated in part with wood from Tennessee's original electric chair.

The ankle electrodes, which are fabricated onto the leg stock, are turned of solid brass. They accommodate a #6 conductor and are paralleled to ground.

The helmet consists of an outer helmet of leather and an inner helmet of copper mesh and sponge. It will disassemble for repair and the electrode will accommodate a #6 conductor.

The chair design includes a removable drip pan. The straps are of nylon aircraft construction and consist of two (2) ankle straps, two (2) wrist straps and one (1) cross-the- chest harness, all with quick release fasteners. All fasteners comprising the restraints are non-incremental, enabling a tighter fit.

The entire system, because of its modular design, may be installed by non-technical people in several hours and is fully field repairable

this is an interactive sound installation for my btec fine art f.m.p, using a childs piano attached to the pickups of my guitar plugged up to two 20 watt amps.

i manipulated the sound of the piano using several effect pedals, the peadls were attached to the wall installation wich i invited people to see what sound they could get out of it, i used a revese delay and a chorus flanger, wich resulted in an ossalating layered wave of warm crackles and low sub bass explosions. the idea came from listening to other peoples coversations and how large groups of people in a room create a static white noise.

again i am very proud of this peice of work and feel compeled to show it.

these are some screen prints from a book project i did on my foundation the story of the emporers new cloths and trying fitting the story round the conspirisy theoreis of the illuminati and the freemasons, the images lack narative but have a strong graphic continuity and as my first introdution into screen printing, im preety damn proud of them and i feel compelled to post them up. enjoy.

this is werner herzog he is a bit of a dude! he truly belives in what he does and what he says, herzogs film and documentaries are some of the most epic, intense and truly humbling i have ever seen and i highly recomend his work to any one, it will blow you away! (real name Werner H. Stipetic) was born in Munich on September 5, 1942.
He grew up in a remote mountain village in Bavaria and never saw any films, television, or telephones as a child.
He started travelling on foot from the age of 14. He made his first phone call at the age of 17. During high school he worked the nightshift as a welder in a steel factory to produce his first films and made his first film in 1961 at the age of 19.
Since then he has produced, written, and directed more than forty films, published more than a dozen books of prose, and directed as many operas.

this is blu he is a murial artist from sau Pablo, i got sent this animation over facebook, and i watched it over and over again i couldent believe my eyes! i really did think ther was some computer trickery at work here, this is some quite spectacular and genuine anamation also taking into account the scale and prosesses that he is dealing with i was also struck by the fact that it reminded me a'lot of jan svankmir (major pioneer of stop frame animation)you should definately check some svankmir out and you will see for your self that blu has bee majorly influenced by this dude mabey at some point ill find some more vidoes! also a week after i found out about this guy he had already done huge murials on the side of the tate modern, its awsome to see that the tate has put it into proper context! awsome!! also there is a link to his site on the side bar

this is circit bending, its abit nathan barley, but hella fun none the less its somthing i have been interested in doing for a while, i have a terible habit of breaking things, i mean they say kids can do it, so i dunno what that says about me!
